There are two sides to the internet. One side are insufferably positive. The other side is insufferably negative.
The optimists will always speak about the bright side of the moon. They self motivated and seem to believe that success is just a matter of effort and time. They flash their lifestyle and make you look bad.
The other side is always worried about doom and gloom. It seems like everyone is either suffering or a victim. They might have a high paying job or a successful business, but all you will hear about is how they feel exploited. “Why is life so unfair to me?”, they wonder.
In an ideal world, you should let neither of these two affect your mental frame. You should live by your own timeline rather than trying to run behind what looks good.
But as is our nature, we only choose between optimism and pessimism. And guess which path is the one most taken? Negativity rules.
There is a reason why negativity is addictive. It is just so much more easier to blame the world for our failures. Why put in the effort to achieve dreams when you can just blame society, the government, family, god, universe…the list goes on for another infinite lines.
The point is people are not negative because of some logic or rationale as they claim. It is just that they have taken the easier path..and that makes all the difference.
I too was guilty of this mindset till a while back. I will admit that it was that much more easier to believe there was a grand conspiracy against me, than believe I could achieve great things.
Cultivating a positive mindset is an ongoing process. Getting sucked into negative thinking is easy for even the biggest optimist.
If I had to choose between the insufferable optimists and the insufferable pessimists, I would gladly throw my lot with the former. It is better to be happy than constantly outraged.
Anyways that’s it for today’s random ramblings with your own dribblesensei. Just a few more days, I promise!
